The former municipality of Old Hamilton is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Physically active home buyers will value the quite walk-friendly nature of Old Hamilton; most daily needs are easy to meet on foot. On the other hand, the bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Old Hamilton because there are a limited number of bike lanes, and there is a significant amount of hills. This area is not especially transit friendly. Nonetheless, house owners can count on the Hamilton GO Centre Station and West Harbour Station with access to the Lakeshore West Line.
