The former municipality of Dundas is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.


Dundas is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park. In contrast, residents using public transit may experience few choices in Dundas due to the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the former municipality, and most properties are near a bus stop. Travelling on foot is not very practical for residents in Dundas as running daily errands is occasionally difficult by walking. Getting around by bicycle is also challenging in Dundas because cyclists encounter a significant amount of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not particularly extensive.


It is a reasonably short walk to get to primary schools from anywhere in Dundas. However, it can be challenging to reach high schools as a pedestrian. With regards to food, a portion of property owners in Dundas may be able to reach the closest grocery store on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle. Residents benefit from over 50 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
