Stoney Creek

The former municipality of Stoney Creek is part of the city of Hamilton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.


This area is an extremely convenient part of Hamilton for travelling by car. Parking is quite easy. In contrast, this area is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, property owners are served by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not especially far from most residences. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate this area because running common errands is difficult on foot. Bicycling is also difficult in Stoney Creek as cyclists encounter a significant amount of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor.


It is a rather short walk to get to primary schools from any location in Stoney Creek. In contrast, it can be challenging to reach high schools as a pedestrian. Concerning food, some, but not all, home buyers in Stoney Creek will live within walking distance of one of about 30 grocery stores. Residents can enjoy over 100 restaurants and coffee shops as well.


People who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere will enjoy Stoney Creek.
