The neighbourhood of Westview can be found in the city of City of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


It is convenient for pedestrians to get around in this area; running common errands is convenient on foot, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. However, Westview is not very suited for cycling since the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there is a significant amount of hills. The public transit system in Westview is not very practical. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, the favoured method to get around in Westview is usually a car. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to access from any location in Westview, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot.


A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in Westview. Additionally, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. As far as education is concerned, in Westview, parents and their children will generally be able to access daycares and schools by walking.


Westview offers a wide selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant feel. There are a few parks nearby for residents to visit and they are very well-spread out, making it very easy to get to them. Lastly, thanks to the presence of few pedestrians, this part of City of North Vancouver remains relatively quiet, although those who are around Trans-Canada Highway may experience more noise.


Roughly 30% of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Westview, while the remainder are mainly duplexes, single detached homes, and townhouses. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the rest are renters. Around one third of homes in this area were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 2000s.
