Situated within the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Westview is a neighbourhood in City of North Vancouver, British Columbia.


Physically active property owners will be pleased with the pedestrian-friendly character of Westview; running common errands is easy on foot, and a variety of businesses are reasonably close by. However, this area is not very suited for bicycling because cyclists are faced with a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is not very well-developed. Getting around by car is straightforward in Westview. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are especially easy to drive to from any location in this neighbourhood, and it is convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit system in Westview is not very practical. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most properties.


Schools and daycares are very easy to reach on foot from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood. Regarding food, both general and specialty grocery stores are ordinarily accessible within a short walk from any home in Westview. Additionally, there are a good number of options in close proximity for those who value restaurants and cafes. It is also easy to access a variety of clothing stores on foot.


Westview offers a broad selection of green spaces to enjoy, as well as some areas with a vibrant feel. Many locations within the neighbourhood have good access to public green spaces, including William Griffin Park, since there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in. Lastly, this part of City of North Vancouver remains relatively quiet, due to the presence of few pedestrians; however noise levels are higher closer to Trans-Canada Highway.


Small apartment buildings are the predominant housing type, representing roughly 30% of buildings in Westview, while the rest are mainly duplexes, single detached homes, and townhouses. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. About one third of properties in this part of the city were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 2000s.
