Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Mahon is a neighbourhood within City of North Vancouver, British Columbia.


Physically active property owners will value the walk-friendly nature of Mahon; many daily needs can be carried out without the use of a vehicle, and there are also a good number of businesses nearby. In contrast, the bicycle is a rather poor means of transportation in Mahon since there are quite a few elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. Nevertheless, a few pleasant sectors for bicycling can be found. Commuting by car is straightforward in this area. Finding a parking spot is quite easy, and the majority of real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. On the other hand, getting around by public transit is occasionally challenging in this area. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes.

Moreover, this part of the city is a good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. A decent selection of clothing stores is also situated within a rather short walking distance. Home buyers who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Mahon. This neighbourhood is quiet, as the streets are usually quite peaceful. Finally, it is very easy to get to public green spaces since there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover.


In Mahon, about one third of dwellings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
