Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, East Credit is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

Moving around by bicycle is convenient in this area since there are a fair number of bike lanes. It is also convenient for people walking to get around in this area; many day-to-day errands can be run on foot. This neighbourhood is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, there are approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. In contrast, driving is a very good transportation option in East Credit. Many real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and coming across a place to park is quite easy.

Services

It is easy to reach the closest grocery store on foot from most homes for sale in East Credit. Additionally, this neighbourhood is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well. With regards to education, daycares and schools are easy to get to on foot from most houses for sale in this part of Mississauga.

Character

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy East Credit. The noise levels in this part of the city are quite low, as the streets are reasonably calm - although there are still several louder sections, especially close to the railway line, Highway 403 or Highway 401. Lastly, getting to public green spaces in the neighbourhood, including Hyde's Mill Hollow and Carolyn Creek, is very easy, since most houses have one nearby and there are approximately 40 parks close by for residents to relax in.

Housing

Around 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the remainder are renters. In this area, roughly 55% of dwellings are single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly townhouses. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest building boom between 1990 and 2000, so most of the available properties are from this era. Notably, this part of the city is good for those looking for four or more bedroom homes.
