Uptown is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


Uptown will attract house buyers that appreciate a variety of methods of transportation. This neighbourhood is quite transit friendly. For instance, homeowners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. Walking is also reasonably convenient for property owners in this neighbourhood; many day-to-day errands can be run on foot, and numerous businesses are close by. The bike is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Uptown as there are quite a few hills. Nonetheless, some bicycling-friendly pockets exist, and this neighbourhood has a fairly good bicycling infrastructure.


Schools and daycares are convenient to walk to from any location in Uptown. As far as food is concerned, it is usually practical for home buyers in Uptown to purchase general and specialty groceries on foot. In addition, this neighbourhood is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. A decent variety of clothing stores is also situated within a reasonably short walking distance.

This neighbourhood also has quite a good selection of housing size options - however this neighbourhood is notable for those looking for two bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 70% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood while renters occupy the remainder. This part of Mississauga did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in Uptown was spread throughout several decades in recent history.
