Transportation

Markville is a fairly pleasant part of Markham for pedestrians; most day-to-day needs are easy to carry out by walking. In contrast, Markville is not particularly suited for bicycling because there are a good number of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. This neighbourhood is not an especially convenient part of Markham for moving around by public transit. Thankfully, the closest train station, including the Centennial Station on the Stouffville Line, is commonly relatively close by from most properties in the neighbourhood. There is Hwy 7 / McCowan and Hwy 7 / Bullock on the purple | VIVA PURPLE. There are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. In contrast, travelling by car is very convenient in this part of the city. Most houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and it is very convenient to park.

Services

Parents and their children will value the proximity to schools and daycares, which are within walking distance from most homes for sale in this part of the city. Concerning eating, buying one's groceries frequently demands the use of a vehicle in Markville. Nevertheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and therefore some basic food items is generally convenient.
