Markville is a fairly pleasant part of Markham for pedestrians; most day-to-day needs are easy to carry out by walking. In contrast, Markville is not particularly suited for bicycling because there are a good number of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is somewhat poor. This neighbourhood is not an especially convenient part of Markham for moving around by public transit.
