The neighbourhood of Unionville can be found in the city of Markham, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


It is easy for pedestrians to move around in Unionville; carrying out day-to-day needs is convenient. However, Unionville is not particularly cycling-friendly because there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and there are few bike lanes. This area is an extraordinarily good part of Markham for travelling by car. It is very easy to park, and many homes for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 407. On the other hand, Unionville is not particularly transit friendly. Thankfully, homeowners profit from the Unionville Station on the Stouffville Line. The nearest rapid transit station, such as Enterprise Blvd / Post Rd, Highway 7 / Sciberras Rd and Highway 7 / Village Pkwy with access to the purple | VIVA PURPLE, is ordinarily close by from most houses in the neighbourhood. There are approximately 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most properties.


Daycares and schools are easy to walk to from most houses for sale in this part of the city. With respect to eating, a portion of house buyers in Unionville may be able to access the closest supermarket on foot, while others will need another means of transportation. That being said, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and property owners benefit from a few cafes as well.


The character of Unionville is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet, as the streets are usually quite peaceful - however noise can be bothersome closer to Highway 407 or the railway line. Lastly, public green spaces are easy to reach since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to unwind in.


Unionville did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new dwellings in the neighbourhood was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century. In this part of Markham, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly large apartment buildings and townhouses. About 85% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. This part of Markham has a good selection of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
