Transportation

Marpole enables homeowners to move around using a variety of methods of transportation. This area benefits from a reasonably good public transit system owing to 2 rapid transit stations (Marine Drive Station Platform 1 and Marine Drive Station Platform 2) with access to the Canada Line Skytrain, and a few nearby bus lines. It is also easy for people travelling on foot to navigate Marpole; running common errands is convenient by walking, and a variety of businesses are quite nearby. Marpole is quite bicycling-friendly as there are numerous bike lanes.

Services

Parents and their kids will appreciate that no matter where their house is situated in this area, daycares and schools are close by. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. With respect to food, it is easy to get to both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from any home in this part of the city. Additionally, Marpole is a fairly good place in which to eat out or go to a cafe. It is also convenient to get to a variety of clothing stores on foot.

Character

The character of Marpole is exemplified by its relaxed environment. There are about 10 green spaces nearby for residents to explore and they are very well-located, making it easy to reach them. This part of the city is also quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case near the railway line.

Housing

In Marpole, roughly 40% of buildings are small apartment buildings, and the rest are mainly duplexes, single detached homes, and townhouses.
