The neighbourhood of UniverCity can be found in the city of Burnaby, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


Cars are a very good transportation option in UniverCity. It is very convenient to park. However, the public transit service in UniverCity is rather poor. Commuting by bicycle is difficult in this part of Burnaby as there are quite a few elevation changes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. It is also challenging for pedestrians to move around in UniverCity since most daily needs are difficult to meet on foot.


It is straightforward to access the nearest grocery store on foot from most properties for sale in UniverCity. In addition, house buyers won't have to look far to take advantage of the nearest cafe. With respect to education, parents and their children will welcome that no matter where their property is located in this area, daycares and primary schools are close by. In contrast, there are no high schools in UniverCity.


UniverCity is a good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. Public green spaces, including Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area, are very well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore, which makes them very easy to reach. This part of the city is also reasonably good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic.


Large apartment buildings are the most common housing type, representing around 60% of dwellings in UniverCity, and the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of the city offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes. The split between homeowners and renters is about even. A majority of the housing growth in this part of Burnaby has taken place after the year 2000.
