Commuting by bicycle is very easy in this area as the bicycling network is excellent.

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a short walk away in this area. 82nd Avenue Northwest is among the best streets for food stores. Additionally, there are over 50 restaurants and a few cafes to benefit from in Strathcona. A reasonable selection of clothing stores can also be found within a rather short walking distance. In terms of education, parents and their children will value that no matter where their property is situated in this neighbourhood, daycares and schools are nearby.

Character

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Strathcona is a reasonably good option. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this area, its main streets can still be quite energetic, and with its approximately 10 nightlife venues, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located very close by.
