Thanks to a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Rapibus 800, Rapibus 400 and Pré Tunney, and over 50 nearby bus lines, the very good transit system makes transit a viable option for many people. It is also especially convenient for pedestrians to navigate Centre-Ville; running common errands is easy without the use of a car, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Centre-Ville will appeal to active home buyers as it is very suited for cycling. In particular, the cycling network is very comprehensive.

Character

Centre-Ville offers an unique mix of areas that are both busy and quiet. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this area, its busier streets can still be quite dynamic, and with its about 20 bars, there are options for nighttime activities. Promenade du Portage in particular offers a wide selection of places to go out at night. At the same time, this area is quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic, although there are still several noisier areas, especially near the railway line, Autoroute de l'Outaouais, Autoroute de la Gatineau or the airport (Ottawa / Hull (Expressair)).

Housing
