La Cité

La Cité is an urban village within Gatineau, Quebec, which is situated in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.

Transportation

La Cité is a fairly convenient part of Gatineau for cyclists. For instance, it is an even ride to most locations, and there are a fair number of bike lanes. Traveling as a pedestrian is also reasonably practical for property owners in La Cité; many daily needs can be met without a vehicle. Residents using public transit may experience few choices in this area due to the low service level. Thankfully, there are various rapid transit stations with access to the Rapibus 400, Rapibus 800 and Pré Tunney. There are about 20 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. On the other hand, driving is very often the favoured method to navigate La Cité. It is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Autoroute de l'Outaouais, from anywhere in La Cité, and parking is generally easy.

Services
