Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Willowridge is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

This part of Toronto benefits from a reasonably good public transit system. More specifically, residents are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally very close. However, this part of the city is not very suited for cycling since there are very few bike lanes, and there is a significant amount of elevation changes. It is sometimes challenging for pedestrians to move around in Willowridge because common amenities such as banks or barbers can be an occasionally long walk away. In contrast, cars are an excellent transportation option in Willowridge. The majority of real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is convenient to park.

Services

Purchasing one's groceries frequently requires the use of a vehicle in this neighbourhood. Nonetheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and accordingly some basic food items is typically easy. With regards to education, daycares and schools are convenient to access on foot from anywhere in Willowridge.

Character

A highlight of Willowridge is its broad selection of green spaces. More specifically, there are a few parks nearby for residents to discover, such as Etobicoke Hydro Green Space, and they are very well-distributed, which makes them very easy to access. Finally, due to the presence of few pedestrians, this part of Toronto is relatively quiet; however those who are near Highway 401 or Highway 427 may experience higher levels of noise.

Housing

The proportions of renters and homeowners are about even. In this neighbourhood, roughly half of dwellings are large apartment buildings, but single detached homes and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood experienced its largest construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
