Thorncliffe Park is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Thorncliffe Park enables homeowners to move around by various methods of transportation. This part of the city benefits from a very good public transit system by reason of a few nearby bus lines. Thorncliffe Park is also quite suitable for those who travel by foot; running daily errands is convenient by walking, and many businesses are reasonably close by. The bicycle is a rather poor mode of transportation in this part of Toronto because the bicycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and riding a bicycle is rendered difficult by the often steep area.

It is usually feasible for house buyers in this part of Toronto to buy groceries on foot. Additionally, there are a fair number of options for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. It is also easy to get to a number of clothing stores on foot. With respect to education, in this area, parents and their kids will generally be able to access schools and daycares by walking.

Despite the somewhat busy feel, there are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Thorncliffe Park. To be more specific, green spaces, including E.T. Seton Park and Lower Don Parklands, are very well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to unwind in, which makes it very easy to get to them. In addition, residents will find that a lot of streets have fairly good tree coverage. This neighbourhood has many areas that are very calm and quiet, although other spots can be noisy, especially closer to one of the railway lines.

The predominance of large apartment buildings in the housing stock of Thorncliffe Park is an important part of its character. This area is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes. Nearly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood rent their home whereas owners make up the remainder. This part of the city experienced its biggest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing is from this time period.
