Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, The Pocket is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.


The Pocket will attract homeowners that use several modes of transportation. The great public transit access makes transit a viable option for many people as a result of a few nearby bus lines. A majority of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also very conducive to those who travel by foot; most day-to-day needs are very convenient to carry out without having to resort to a vehicle, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. The Pocket is very cycling-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes.


It is very often possible for property owners in this part of Toronto to buy general and specialty groceries on foot. Additionally, there are a fair number of opportunities within walking distance for those who appreciate restaurants and cafes. It is also convenient to get to a selection of clothing stores on foot. Concerning education, daycares and schools are especially convenient to walk to from most houses for sale in this part of Toronto.


The Pocket is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. There is a fair amount of greenery in this area as there are many tree-lined streets. This part of Toronto is quiet overall, as the streets tend to be reasonably peaceful - however noise can be bothersome close to the railway line.

This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around two thirds of the dwellings in The Pocket while renters occupy the remainder. Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place prior to the 1960s.
