Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Ryerson is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario.

Transportation

Ryerson does not demand driving as various other modes of transportation are available. Thanks to Dundas Station on the Yonge - University Line, and a few nearby bus lines, the great public transit infrastructure allows people to get to many destinations without needing a car. Ryerson is also very well-suited for those who travel by foot; all daily errands can be run without having to resort to a vehicle, and many businesses are very nearby. A fair number of residents in the area use their bicycle because the cycling network is fairly good, and there is usually a bike-share station nearby.

Services

Families will find that no matter where their home is situated in this area, daycares and schools are close by. In terms of food, a general and a specialty grocery store is always only a very short walk away in Ryerson. In addition, thanks to approximately 20 restaurants and a few coffee shops, this neighbourhood is an excellent area in which to eat out. It is also especially easy to get to a number of clothing stores on foot.

Character

Those who enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and spending time outdoors will feel at home in Ryerson. Finding things to do in this part of the city is very easy. There is a very small amount of greenery in this area; although, parks are especially well-situated and there are a few of them nearby for residents to visit, making them very easy to access from the majority of locations in this part of Toronto.
