The former municipality of East York can be found in the city of Toronto, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto metropolitan area.

Transportation

This former municipality allows property owners to move around by a diversity of means of transportation. Walking is practical for home buyers in this area; many daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are reasonably nearby. Biking is also convenient in East York since the bicycling infrastructure is quite comprehensive. The public transit network in East York is very good. Cars are also a fairly good mode of transportation in this part of the city. The character of East York is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. Greenery is present in this former municipality as there are numerous tree-lined streets. It is very easy to reach green spaces in the former municipality since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to explore. This part of the city is reasonably quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic - however noise can be problematic around one of the railway lines or Don Valley Parkway.
