The neighbourhood of Osgoode can be found in the city of Ottawa, Ontario.


This part of the city is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park. Walking is not very practical for residents in Osgoode since most daily needs are very challenging to meet on foot. Osgoode is also not very appropriate for cycling as there are few bike lanes. Thankfully, riding is facilitated by the generally flat terrain, and a few bicycling-friendly pockets exist.


Shopping for one's groceries very often demands the use of a vehicle in this area. When it comes to education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. Likewise, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools. Furthermore, daycares are not numerous and thus not always within walking distance.


Osgoode is very quiet overall, as the streets are usually very calm. Access to parks in the neighbourhood, like Doug Thompson Pathway, is rather challenging since they are distributed sporadically. Still, there are approximately 10 green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy.


In Osgoode, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly townhouses. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood while the remainder are rented. Roughly 30% of properties in this part of the city were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
