Old Oakville is a neighbourhood within Oakville, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Bicycling is convenient in this area. Traveling as a pedestrian is also reasonably feasible for home buyers in Old Oakville; running daily errands is convenient without a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. The transit system in Old Oakville is not very practical. Nevertheless, there is the Oakville on the Lakeshore West. Residents have access to about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. On the other hand, Old Oakville is very car friendly. It is a rather short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in this neighbourhood, and parking is quite easy.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away in this part of the town. In addition, there are a good number of options for those who care about nearby restaurants and cafes. It is also a rather short stroll to a good selection of clothing stores. When it comes to education, daycares and schools are easy to access without a car from any location in this part of Oakville.

Old Oakville has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Old Oakville is very quiet overall, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Public green spaces, like Pinewood Park, are very well-situated and there are approximately 30 of them close by for residents to enjoy, which makes it very easy to get to them.
