Located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Meadowvale is a neighbourhood within Mississauga, Ontario.

Transportation

This neighbourhood is moderately amenable to biking since there are a limited number of slopes, and this part of Mississauga features good bicycling infrastructure. Traveling as a pedestrian is also reasonably convenient for house buyers in Meadowvale; running day-to-day errands is easy without a car. The public transit system in Meadowvale is somewhat poor. Nonetheless, it is easy to reach a nearby rapid transit station, such as Meadowvale Town Centre Bus Terminal Platform J, Winston Churchill Blvd / Britannia Rd and Meadowvale Town Centre Drop Off with access to the Meadowvale Express, from the majority of homes in the neighbourhood. There is the Meadowvale and Lisgar on the Milton. The neighbourhood is served by about 20 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. However, the car is often the favoured method to navigate this part of Mississauga. It is easy to park, and it is a reasonably short drive to the closest highway from any home in this area.

Services

A supermarket is generally reachable within a rather short distance from any location in Meadowvale. In addition, Meadowvale is a good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. As far as education is concerned, in this neighbourhood, families will typically be able to reach daycares and schools as pedestrians.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed ambience will enjoy Meadowvale. Accessing parks in the neighbourhood, like Lisgar Fields and Trelawny Woods, is very easy since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to explore. This part of Mississauga is also very good for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Housing

In Meadowvale, around 40% of dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and townhouses. About half of properties in this neighbourhood were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one quarter are renters.
