The neighbourhood of Gateway is part of the city of Mississauga, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto metropolitan area.


Gateway is an extremely good part of Mississauga for getting around by car. It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Highway 407, from any home in Gateway, and parking is generally easy. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be occasionally difficult in this part of Mississauga by reason of the low service level. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is linked by approximately 10 bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. This area is not very well-suited for walking because few day-to-day errands can be run without needing to resort to a car. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in Gateway because there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive.


It is frequently feasible for property owners in this area to do their grocery shopping on foot.
