Markham Village is very car friendly. It is a rather short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this area, and accessing a parking spot is quite easy. However, this neighbourhood is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, commuters can count on Hwy 7 / Main Markham and Hwy 7 / Wootten on the purple | VIVA PURPLE. There are about 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. The bike is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in Markham Village as the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there are a good number of slopes. There also aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of Markham Village, although many daily errands can be run without having to use a car.
