The neighbourhood of Fairfield is part of the city of Kitchener, Ontario, which is located in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.


It is convenient for pedestrians to move around in this part of Kitchener; running daily errands is easy on foot. The bicycle is a good means of transportation in Fairfield because there are a large number of bike lanes. The public transit service in Fairfield is rather poor. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally just around the corner. In contrast, driving is a very good medium of transportation in this part of the city. It is very easy to park, and it is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 85, from any location in Fairfield.


House buyers in this part of Kitchener usually need a car to purchase their groceries. Nevertheless, it is generally a reasonably short distance to the nearest pharmacy, which can supply some staple foods. Fairfield is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat. In terms of education, parents and their kids will appreciate that wherever their home is located in Fairfield, both primary and secondary schools are nearby.
