The community of Point Edward can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is very often the preferred method to move around in Point Edward. It is a short drive to the closest highway from any location in this part of the municipality, and coming across a parking spot is generally easy. Most houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very conducive to people who get around on foot because running day-to-day errands is inconvenient without the use of a vehicle. Travelling by bicycle is also challenging in Point Edward as there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Point Edward. Likewise, daycares are not plentiful and accordingly tend to require a very long distance to get to. With respect to eating, property owners in this community almost always need a vehicle to travel to the closest grocery store.

Character

Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the units in the community while the remainder are rented. This community offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
