The community of Balls Creek is part of the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This area is very car friendly. Coming across a parking spot is easy, and it is a very short car ride to the nearest highway from anywhere in Balls Creek. It is very inconvenient for people walking to get around in this community since meeting day-to-day needs is very challenging without a vehicle. The bicycle is a quite bad means of transportation in Balls Creek as there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the municipality. In addition, parents may consider it very difficult for their children to get to daycares by walking. In terms of eating, it is very rarely possible for property owners in this area to reach the closest supermarket as pedestrians.
