Part of the Greater Prince George metropolitan area, Old Summit Lake is a neighbourhood within Prince George, British Columbia.
Transportation
Travelling by car is especially convenient in this part of Prince George. It is very easy to park. The bicycle is a fairly poor method of transportation in this area as the terrain is not particularly flat, and the cycling infrastructure is quite bad. This part of the city is also not very suitable for those who travel by walking since running daily errands is nearly impossible without needing a car.
Services
There are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. In addition, daycares are not abundant and thus not always within a short distance. With respect to eating, home buyers in this part of the city typically have to turn to a car to purchase their groceries.
Character
Old Summit Lake offers a relaxed atmosphere. Old Summit Lake is very good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Parks are spread out sporadically, which makes it very hard to get to them.
Housing
Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 10% are renters. In this part of the city, around 55% of dwellings are single detached homes, while mobile homes are also present in the housing stock.
