Driving is an excellent transportation option in Riverside East. Many real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, and parking is easy. On the other hand, residents using public transit may experience limited choices in this part of the municipality by reason of the infrequent service. Thankfully, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually close by. Riverside East is not very cycling-friendly because the bicycling network is not very well-developed, and riding is made arduous by the often sloping terrain. Travelling on foot is also not very practical for house buyers in this part of District of North Vancouver since very few daily errands can be run on foot.

As far as eating is concerned, accessing the nearest grocery store by walking is practical for some, but not all, house buyers in Riverside East.

The character of Riverside East is exemplified by its calm ambience. This area is fairly good for those who like quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
