The neighbourhood of Parkway is part of the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


The car is very often the best method to get around in Parkway. Parking is generally easy. In contrast, commuting by public transit is challenging in Parkway. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. It is at times challenging for people walking to get around in Parkway as few daily needs can be met on foot. Parkway is also not very cycling-friendly as riding is rendered arduous by the often steep topography, and this neighbourhood is home to a rather limited bicycling infrastructure.


It is a short walk to get to daycares and primary schools from most homes for sale in this area. In contrast, this part of the municipality does not have any high schools. With regards to eating, house buyers in this area will welcome that a grocery store is always only a short walk away. Additionally, a cafe is often just around the corner.


The character of Parkway is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This part of District of North Vancouver is quiet overall, as the streets are quite tranquil. Finally, green spaces are very well-situated and there are a few of them close by for residents to enjoy, which makes them very easy to get to.


The majority of the housing stock of Parkway is made up of single detached homes and townhouses, whereas the rest are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This area offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes. Around 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 20% are renters. Most of the housing growth in this part of District of North Vancouver occurred between 1980 and 1990.
