Parkgate is a neighbourhood within District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.


This neighbourhood is a very good part of District of North Vancouver for moving around by car. It is very convenient to come across a place to park. In contrast, Parkgate is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. The bike is a fairly poor method of transportation in Parkgate as there are a good number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. It is also at times difficult for pedestrians to move around in Parkgate because meeting daily needs is occasionally difficult on foot.


Parents and their schoolchildren will welcome that wherever their house is located in this area, daycares and primary schools are close by. However, there are no high schools in Parkgate. With respect to food, it is straightforward to get to the closest supermarket on foot in Parkgate. Additionally, a cafe is generally a reasonably short stroll away, and there are also a limited number of opportunities for those who appreciate nearby restaurants.


Parkgate offers a relaxed ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time in green spaces. Most areas in this part of District of North Vancouver are quiet, as the streets are reasonably peaceful. Finally, many locations in the neighbourhood have good access to public green spaces, including Northlands Golf Course and Parkgate Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore.


Parkgate experienced its biggest construction boom between 1990 and 2000, so most of the available homes are from this era. The sizeable proportion of small apartment buildings in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Roughly 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder. This area offers mainly three bedroom and two bedroom homes.
