Carisbrooke

The neighbourhood of Carisbrooke is part of the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are reasonably suitable for walking; many daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. On the other hand, Carisbrooke is not very amenable to cycling because the bicycling infrastructure is not especially comprehensive, and riding is made arduous by the typically sloping terrain. Carisbrooke is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. On the other hand, driving is a very good mode of transportation in this area. Finding a place to park is generally easy, and it is a short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in Carisbrooke.

Services

Property owners in Carisbrooke will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away. A small number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. In Carisbrooke, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly duplexes. This part of the municipality offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 80% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. Around 40% of properties in this part of District of North Vancouver were built between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 2000s.
