Transportation

Thorncliff provides house buyers with the choice between several means of transportation. Owing to about 20 nearby bus lines, this part of Edmonton benefits from good public transit access. Property owners who want to reside in a walkable community will also welcome the rather pedestrian-friendly nature of Thorncliff; many day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are moderately close by. It is easy to move around by bicycle in this part of the city as the terrain is reasonably flat, and the cycling infrastructure is good.

Services

Primary schools and daycares are very easy to get to without a car from most properties for sale in Thorncliff. However, high schools are not very abundant and thus not always within walking distance. As far as eating is concerned, it is easy to access the nearest supermarket without a car from anywhere in this part of the city. Likewise, those who are fond of dining in restaurants or cafes will have a fair number of choices in Thorncliff.

Character

Thorncliff is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of the city. Thorncliff is reasonably quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. There are around 20 green spaces close by for residents to check out, like Belmead Park and Aldergrove Park, and they are especially well-spread out, making them very easy to access.

About 30% of dwellings are small apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in Thorncliff, and the remainder are mainly single detached homes. Roughly 80% of the properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built 1980.
