Situated within the Greater Edmonton metropolitan area, Belle Rive is a neighbourhood within Edmonton, Alberta.


Belle Rive is very car friendly. It is easy to park. However, this part of Edmonton is not especially transit friendly. Thankfully, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically just around the corner. This neighbourhood is amenable to cycling as it is an even ride to most locations, and there are innumerable bike lanes. On the other hand, walking is not very common in Belle Rive, despite the fact that running common errands is easy.


Daycares and primary schools are convenient to walk to from most properties for sale in Belle Rive. However, Belle Rive does not contain any high schools. With respect to eating, in all but a limited number of cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. Nevertheless, getting to the nearest pharmacy and accordingly some basic food items is generally very easy. A limited variety of restaurants can be found in Belle Rive as well.


Belle Rive offers a relaxed ambience and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. The noise levels in this part of Edmonton are very low, as the streets are usually very peaceful. Finally, public green spaces, including Poplar District Park, are especially well-located and there are a few of them nearby for residents to check out, which makes them easy to get to.

Roughly 45% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1990s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s. This part of the city offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas renters make up the remainder.
