Part of the Greater Calgary metropolitan area, Penbrooke Meadows is a neighbourhood within Calgary, Alberta.


Travelling on foot is reasonably feasible for residents in this neighbourhood; many daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle. However, Penbrooke Meadows is not very bicycling-friendly since. Thankfully, there are few slopes to challenge bike riders. Residents using public transit may experience few choices in this area due to the low service level. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most residences. On the other hand, this area is very car friendly. It is convenient to park, and nearby highways are quite easy to access from anywhere in this part of Calgary.


Schools and daycares are easy to get to on foot from most properties for sale in this area. When it comes to food, a supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a reasonably short walk from most homes for sale in this part of the city. Moreover, a restaurant is often just around the corner.


Penbrooke Meadows is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. The noise levels in this part of the city are very low, as the streets tend to be very peaceful. Finally, parks are especially well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to discover, which results in them being very easy to get to from most locations in the neighbourhood.


About two thirds of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and one third are renters. In this neighbourhood, around 40% of dwellings are single detached homes, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings, duplexes, and townhouses. Most of the housing growth in this part of the city occurred in the 1960s and 1970s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
