Sainte-Odile

Sainte-Odile is a neighbourhood within Rimouski, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Rimouski metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is usually the best method to navigate Sainte-Odile. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and it is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute 20, from anywhere in this area. On the other hand, the transit service in Sainte-Odile is rather limited. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Cycling is convenient in Sainte-Odile. This neighbourhood is not very conducive to those who travel by walking because few daily errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle.

Services

Character

Sainte-Odile offers a slower-paced atmosphere. Sainte-Odile is great for those who need quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to the airport (Héliport de Rimouski (Hydro-Quebec)) or Autoroute 20.

Housing

The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Sainte-Odile is an important part of its character. About one third of properties in this part of the city were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This area offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 85% of the units in the neighbourhood while renters occupy the remainder.
