Transportation

No matter the mode of transportation, it is fairly straightforward to travel in this neighbourhood. A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are moderately conducive to pedestrians; many day-to-day needs can be carried out without the use of a vehicle, and there are also a good number of businesses nearby. Active people will also welcome the bicycling-friendly character of Cité Universitaire. More specifically, the bicycling infrastructure is fairly extensive. With over 50 nearby bus lines, Cité Universitaire is home to good public transit. Getting around by car is also straightforward in this area. It is easy to find a parking spot, and it is a very short drive to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute Henri-IV, from anywhere in Cité Universitaire.

Cité Universitaire is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this neighbourhood. Although this neighbourhood is not known for its vibrancy, its main streets can still be quite energetic, and finding one of the a few nightlife venues is easy since they are generally situated in convenient locations. Cité Universitaire is good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour, although that is not the case around the railway line, Autoroute Henri-IV or Autoroute Félix-Leclerc. It is easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood since there are about 40 of them nearby for residents to enjoy.

Housing

In Cité Universitaire, many dwellings are small apartment buildings, while large apartment buildings and single detached homes make up most of the remaining housing stock. This neighbourhood has a good variety of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
