Transportation

Cars are a very good mode of transportation in Terrebonne. Many real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute 25, and it is easy to park. On the other hand, public transit riders may find limited choices in this borough as a result of the infrequent service. Thankfully, there are approximately 40 bus lines passing through the borough, and the nearest bus stop is usually around the corner. The bicycle is a fairly good method of transportation in Terrebonne since cyclists do not face serious slopes. It is at times difficult for pedestrians to move around in Terrebonne as few daily errands can be run without the need to get in a car.

It is frequently practical for house buyers in Terrebonne to buy groceries without the use of a car. There are around 20 supermarkets in this area, and the best variety can be found on streets such as Chemin Gascon. Likewise, Terrebonne is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat, and house buyers benefit from a few cafes as well. With respect to education, it is a short stroll to get to daycares and primary schools from anywhere in Terrebonne. However, high schools are not particularly numerous and thus not always within walking distance.

Character

The character of Terrebonne is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. The noise levels in this area are very low, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Lastly, the greenery in this part of the city is not especially prominent; to be more specific, residents will find that there are relatively few tree-lined streets. However, the majority of locations within the borough have reasonably good access to green spaces, such as Parc Esther-Blondin and Parc Marcel-de la Sablonnière, since there are over 100 of them close by for residents to check out.

Housing

Many dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in Terrebonne, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings. This part of the city has a good choice of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About three quarters of the population of this borough own their home while renters make up the remainder. This borough did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in the borough was spread throughout several decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century.
