Saint-Jude

Situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Saint-Jude is a neighbourhood within Longueuil, Quebec.

Transportation

This area enables homeowners to move around using a variety of means of transportation. It is easy for pedestrians to get around in this neighbourhood; running daily errands is convenient without the need to use a car, and a fair number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Cycling is moderately popular in Saint-Jude because the terrain is flat, and the bicycling network is very good. Commuting by public transit is straightforward in this neighbourhood. The closest rapid transit station, such as Station Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke (zone B and Jean-Drapeau Station with access to the Ligne 4 - Jaune, is generally a short distance away from the greater part of houses in the neighbourhood. Property owners are served by over 50 bus lines, and bus stops are commonly around the corner. The preferred transportation option in this part of Longueuil is very often a car. Most houses for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute René-Lévesque, and parking is generally easy.

Services

The closest supermarket in Saint-Jude is usually only a reasonably short stroll away. Furthermore, this area is a fairly good place in which to go out to eat or go to a cafe. Character

Saint-Jude is a great area for home buyers who enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities. Even though the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this part of the city, its main streets are still quite energetic, and with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located very close by. On the other hand, this neighbourhood features a very small amount of greenery; although, there are around 20 green spaces close by for residents to relax in, including Parc de la Voie maritime, and they are especially well-distributed, which makes them very easy to reach.

Housing

In Saint-Jude, around half of buildings are large apartment buildings, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock.
