For instance, rapid transit stations, such as De l'Église Station and Île-des-Sœurs on the Gare Centrale - Brossard and Ligne 1 - Verte, are generally within walking distance from most residences in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most residences. Nuns' Island is also convenient for people who get around as pedestrians; many daily errands can be run without a vehicle. A good number of residents in the area use their bike because riding is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is very well-developed.

Services

It is rarely practical for property owners in Nuns' Island to purchase their groceries in one of about 10 stores as pedestrians. Nevertheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and thus some basic food items is typically convenient. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate restaurants in close proximity. When it comes to education, in Nuns' Island, families will usually be able to reach primary schools by walking. Character

Many locations within the neighbourhood have fairly good access to parks, such as Parc Arthur-Therrien and Domaine Saint-Paul, since there are about 40 of them nearby for residents to relax in. The noise levels in this area are also low, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around Autoroute 15 or Autoroute Bonaventure.
