The neighbourhood of Little Burgundy is part of the city of Montréal, Quebec, which is situated in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

No matter the means of transportation, it is very convenient to travel in Little Burgundy. House buyers can rely on public transit to move around in Little Burgundy owing to various nearby rapid transit stations on the Ligne 2 - Orange and Ligne 1 - Verte, and over 50 nearby bus lines. Walking is also particularly practical for home buyers in this part of the city; all daily errands can be run without needing a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are very close by. Little Burgundy is a fairly pleasant part of Montréal for bike riders. For example, bike-share stations are hardly ever more than a few blocks away, the bicycling infrastructure is good, and much of the topography is relatively flat.

Services

It is very convenient to get to both a general and a specialty grocery store without a car from most properties for sale in Little Burgundy. Avenue Atwater is among the best streets for groceries. Additionally, with over 200 restaurants and approximately 20 cafes, Little Burgundy is a great area in which to eat out. Character

Little Burgundy has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. Most areas in Little Burgundy are reasonably quiet, as the streets are generally calm, although that is not the case close to one of the railway lines or Autoroute Ville-Marie. This area also features a fair amount of greenery; public green spaces, including Parc du Canal-de-Lachine, are very well-distributed and there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to check out, making them very easy to get to. In addition, residents will find that the majority of streets have reasonably good tree coverage. Finally, this area has many streets to check out. Even though a narrow selection of entertainment venues can be found nearby, there are often crowds of people around, and with its about 40 bars, there are options for nighttime activities.

Housing

In Little Burgundy, the majority of buildings are small apartment buildings, but large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of one bedroom and two bedroom homes. Roughly two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters while the remainder are occupied by owners. About 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
