Du Parc allows home buyers to travel using several modes of transportation. House buyers can rely on public transit to travel in this part of Gatineau thanks to various nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Pré Tunney, Rapibus 400 and Rapibus 800, and around 40 nearby bus lines. Bicycling is reasonably adopted in Du Parc because the cycling infrastructure is moderately well-developed. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of Gatineau are located in areas that are not particularly conducive to people who like to get around as pedestrians as few daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. On the other hand, the favoured way to navigate this urban village is very often a car. Finding a place to park is quite easy, and the majority of properties for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway.

Services

Concerning education, daycares and schools are convenient to get to without a vehicle from anywhere in this urban village.

Character

Du Parc is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Although the atmosphere is not the liveliest in this part of Gatineau with the nightlife venues in nearby urban villages, it is very hard to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located very far. At the same time, this part of the city is especially quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.

Housing

In Du Parc, roughly one third of buildings are small apartment buildings, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings, single detached homes, and townhouses. This part of Gatineau also has a good choice of unit sizes; properties range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About two thirds of the population of this urban village own their home whereas renters make up the remainder. About 30% of properties in this area were constructed in the 1980s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
