Strathmore is a neighbourhood within Dorval, Quebec, which is located in the Greater Montreal metropolitan area.

Transportation

The car is usually the best method to get around in this area. It is convenient to access a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Autoroute du Souvenir, are very easy to reach from any home in this neighbourhood. Thanks to Gare Pine Beach with access to the 11 - Vaudreuil/Hudson, and a few nearby bus lines, the transit service in Strathmore is also fairly good. It is at times challenging to travel by bike in this part of Dorval since the cycling network is not especially well-developed. Nonetheless, bicycling is facilitated by the generally flat terrain. Strathmore is also not very conducive to pedestrians because common amenities such as laundromats or barbers can be an occasionally long trip away.

Services

Families will appreciate that wherever their property is located in this part of Dorval, daycares are nearby. However, there are only a very small number of high schools in Strathmore and consequently they can be a very long stroll away. Moreover, this part of Dorval does not have any primary schools. In terms of eating, it is occasionally feasible for property owners in this neighbourhood to purchase their groceries without needing a vehicle. Nevertheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and therefore some staple foods is usually easy. A small variety of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.
