Situated within the Greater Montreal metropolitan area, Sector C is a neighbourhood in Brossard, Quebec.

Transportation

Sector C is very car friendly. It is a reasonably short car ride to the nearest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est, from anywhere in this area, and it is easy to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, the public transit service in sector C is not especially frequent. Nonetheless, residents can count on Du Quartier and Brossard on the Gare Centrale - Brossard. There are approximately 40 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. This neighbourhood is moderately appropriate for biking as cyclists do not face serious hills, and the bicycling infrastructure is fairly good. However, there are relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this area, even though running daily errands is easy without a car.

Services

Parents and their children will welcome the proximity to daycares, which are within walking distance from all homes for sale in this area. However, sector C does not contain any primary schools or high schools. Concerning food, the nearest grocery store in sector C is usually only a rather long walk away. In addition, a restaurant is typically just around the corner, and property owners benefit from a few cafes as well.

Character

Sector C is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This area is very quiet overall, as the streets are usually very tranquil - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially closer to Autoroute de l'Acier or Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est. Lastly, this neighbourhood also features almost no greenery; however, accessing public green spaces, including Grand Parc Urbain, is easy from many locations in the neighbourhood since there are around 40 of them close by for residents to enjoy.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about two thirds of the units in sector C and renters occupy the remainder. In this neighbourhood, roughly 55% of buildings are small apartment buildings, while single detached homes and townhouses make up most of the remaining housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this area has happened following the year 2000. This neighbourhood also has a good choice of housing sizes; homes range from lofts to four or more bedrooms.
