Columbia will attract homeowners that value a diversity of modes of transportation. The public transit network in Columbia is practical. More specifically, it is convenient to find a nearby rapid transit station, including University Of Waterloo Station and Research & Technology Station with access to the 301 | Ion, from most houses in the neighbourhood. House owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. It is also easy for pedestrians to move around in this part of Waterloo; running common errands is convenient on foot. Columbia is not especially appropriate for bicycling since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the cycling infrastructure is not particularly extensive.
