The Annex is a great area when it comes to travelling without a car. The Annex is an extremely convenient part of Toronto for moving around by public transit due to many nearby rapid transit stations with access to the Bloor - Danforth Line and Yonge - University Line, and a few nearby bus lines. This area is also very suitable for walking; running common errands is very convenient, and many businesses of different types can be found as well. Active people will enjoy the especially cycling-friendly nature of The Annex. For instance, bike-share stations are hardly ever more than a short walk away, and the bicycling network is quite comprehensive.


It is very convenient to reach both a general and a specialty grocery store on foot from any home in The Annex. Furthermore, thanks to over 50 restaurants and a few cafes, this neighbourhood is an excellent area in which to eat out. It is also especially easy to access a number of clothing stores on foot.
