In particular, train stations, including the Mimico with access to the Lakeshore West, are not very far-removed from the bulk of homes in the neighbourhood. House owners benefit from about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily around the corner. Property owners who value being in a community that's walkable will also enjoy the pedestrian-friendly character of this part of Toronto; many daily needs can be carried out without a vehicle. Mimico-Queensway is rather suited for biking.

There are around 20 groceries in Mimico-Queensway, and the best variety can be found on streets like Royal York Road.
