Hillside is a neighbourhood within Toronto, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


Travelling by car is very convenient in this neighbourhood. Coming across a place to park is quite easy. In contrast, public transit riders may experience limited options in Hillside due to the infrequent service. Many of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are not very convenient for walking because meeting daily needs is very challenging on foot. Bicycling is also difficult in this area because there are quite a few hills, and there are few bike lanes.


This part of Toronto does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, it can be very difficult to get to daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to eating, purchasing one's groceries very often demands the use of a car in this neighbourhood.

This area is quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.


A majority of the housing growth in Hillside occurred between 1990 and 2000. Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the dwellings in Hillside and renters occupy the remainder. This part of the city offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.
